Update Mozilla Firefox in Ubuntu 8.04 LTS

21 05 2008

Instructiuni update Mozilla Firefox in Ubuntu 8.04 LTS

-dati click pe tabul “Third-Party Software”, butonul “Add”
-introduceti deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/fta/ubuntu hardy main
-deschideti Terminalul si introduceti sudo apt-get update apoi sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
De aici ar trebui sa va descurcati.

Web Operating System - eyeOS

14 05 2008

eyeOS logoeyeOS was thought as a new definition of Operating System, where everything inside it can be accessed from everywhere in a Network. All need to do is to login into your eyeOS server with a normal Internet Browser, and access your personal or corporate desktop, with your applications, documents and files… just like you left it last time.

eyeOS comes with a preloaded suite of applications, some for private use, like the file manager, a word processor, a music player, calendar, notepad or contacts manager. There are also some groupware applications, such as a group manager, a file sharing application, a group board and many more.

With an eyeOS based platform, we can port your existent applications or make new applications that will fit your needs for your company or school, and provide Training, Support and other services. eyeOS does provide a strong, stable and powerful base where a great variety of apps can be built on.
You can download eyeOS from here, and you can install it on your computer very easy. This is the mainpage of eyeOS, from wich you can access all the applications.
Enjoy it!

SMPlayer

ImageHost.org
SMPlayer intends to be a complete front-end for MPlayer, from basic features like playing videos, DVDs, and VCDs to more advanced features like support for MPlayer filters and more.
One of the most interesting features of SMPlayer: it remembers the settings of all files you play. So you start to watch a movie but you have to leave… don’t worry, when you open that movie again it will resume at the same point you left it, and with the same settings: audio track, subtitles, volume…
Here you can see some screenshots.
Downloads for Linux and also for Windows.
